ABOUT EL MÉDANO

A production company founded in Madrid in 1998 by Rafael Álvarez. Focused on film production, it aims for quality cinema with an authorial perspective, while still embracing its commercial potential.

Rafael Álvarez has been an independent producer since 1990, having produced around twenty feature films and several dozen short films, garnering numerous awards. Among them, notable is the presence of his productions in A-list festivals such as Cannes, San Sebastián, Locarno, or Mar del Plata, as well as two Goya Awards or several nominations.
